now 68, alice stuart roamed the folk circuit in the 60s and started playing blues shortly thereafter. after a brief love affair with frank zappa and a stint with Mother of Invention, she dropped off the musical face of the earth to raise her kids and family. apparently, she was pretty burnt out. i'm glad she's back. just heard of her today.
while my grandma asked for a skateboard at age 65 and then proceeded to break her wrists (what's more punk than that??), she never had groove like this. pretty cool.
