a scene

there he was, leaning against the Super 8 rail on a partly cloudy Californian day. his mickey mouse ears cocked slightly to the side upon his 50-something year old head, the elastic strap clinging to his chin. he barely took note of me as he took another drag from his smoldering cigarette. and that's how the fun began.

i can only adore a place where dignity is rarely in question as ridiculousness is exempt from judgment. i needed that exemption more than once this time around. trust me. long live walt disney.

Have you heard of Bill Pete? It's a man and he's got a biography. I think of the autobiographical persuasion. He was an illustrator at Walt Disney. I read it in the 6th grade. You should read it in the 15th grade.
