what better way to spend valentine's day than (re)watching the off-kilter love of harold and maude blossom? i find harold's boyish face, prematurely balding and quiet comic morbidity oddly crushable. maude holds just as much intrigue as a spunky and selfless kleptomaniac with an enviable ability to defy convention and inject a zest for life in each moment. the quirky combination is impeccable.
oh, the hope. quirks are nearly the only thing i can guarantee with my love. that, and loyalty. and maybe that's just what we need to unlock the life within us.
did i mention the entire soundtrack is by cat stevens? talk about crushable.
i don't mean to swoon so. i don't mean to be a girl. but i am and i like it.
