i've forgotten
the way people fall in and out,
and how it's just that-
a fall.
rarely knocking when they come in,
their departure swift, unintentional and unexpected.
i don't want you to fall,
none of you.
i don't want to fall.
you don't fall from my canyon road,
you don't fall from my metropolis of good reads.
you don't fall from the the melody
you balance on it.
you sink into it.
if our roads cross again,
can we knit a pretty pattern please?
i promise i won't cut your memory from me.
it will follow me where e'er i go.
i've forgotten
the way people fall in and out,
and how it's just that
-a fall.
rarely knocking when they come in,
their departure swift, unintentional and unexpected
but i will know it when i see it, if i see it, old and gray
no need to knock,
for it is kindred.

Geez, you've been to work. I've read all of the entries that i've missed. It was hard to choose which one to comment on because they are all magically wondrous. This one, and Johnny Boy are my favorites.
Yes. Pure honesty here.
Chuck.
