i filled in bubbles today. 48 of them to be exact. soon this paper will go through a machine that will read my student number and tell me how knowledgeable i am about earth's movement and water sources.when i think of this process, i think of dingy gray metal arbitrarily deciding that my comprehension is inadequate. i think of a factory of these machines, big and clunky, making disjunct clatter that sounds a lot like the laughter of the devil. yes, the devil. then, these machines will devour my ego in a single bite. they'll shred the paper into a million pieces and throw it in the air like confetti and the fragments will be embers before they hit the ground.
i think the test went quite well today.
